Thankful

The sights and sounds of Saturday morning.

The sun illuminating the leaves outside my window.

Our son’s dog, Dallas, curled up in his favorite spot.

The rhythmic swish of the clothes in the dryer.

The sound of my first cup of coffee brewing.

It’s easy to rush past each one of these simple joys.

These gifts that I have been given.

Weekends can often feel like an extension of a busy week, filled with to do lists and catching up.

But friends, our Heavenly Father wants us to step back from our busyness and experience His peace.

To pause and take in the simple joys.

And give thanks.
